I love food. But I love food that tastes like food. Most of what I buy at the supermarket lacks real, distinctive flavour. It both surprises and humbles me when I see what humans do to themselves, without awareness or concern or thought for the well-being of one's self. Human beings, for centuries, have believed that this first degree of existence is the only one and so live as if everything is the same, staring straight ahead, marveled by the dancing, spinning, shining shadows on the wall. Distracted by colorful light bent by a prism, unquestioning. So, humans will take one of the most fundamental aspects of existence (sustenance through other forms of organic matter; i.e. food) and intoxicate themselves. As if they have no hold over the fate of their own lives. It is truly extraordinary!
