Going back to basics...great stuff and core truths are focused on. That's the way it should be...don't waste your money on advertised, manipulated products. Get the basics straight! AWESOME!

I'm not going to thumb this one up or down, because I think it continues to perpetuate a few myths while giving some good information. It's still all about caloric intake versus caloric expenditure. If all you ate were two doughnuts a day (please don't do this, it's just an example), you'd lose weight given that the average large doughnut contains about 300-400 calories. Reducing sugar in your diet is a great idea. But so is reducing the amount of saturated fat, and that isn't included in the article. Additionally, including protein in every meal may not be appropriate. Most American diets, including vegetarian and even vegan, are way too high in protein. Portion size, calorie control, balanced diet (think as a whole--day/week, not meal by meal), and getting plenty of water and rest. Anything more complicated than that and you have to ask yourself, is this more fad than fact?
