Speaking at a meeting organised by `Avagahana†here on Thursday, he admitted that the present supply of about 75 Million Litres per Day (MLD) was not enough to cater to the demands of the growing population and has asked the officials to see to it that the timings of the were supply be notified earlier so that women are not put to undue hardship. Plans are on the anvil to find out a new water source by next year and lay the long pending water pipe line from Mangalagiri to Takkelapadu so that the second 10 MGD water filtration plant was put to use. Laying of this pipe line would meet the demands of water supply for the coming seven to eight years, he said."
