Eastern woodblock This show of beautiful woodblock prints - mostly landscapes - is by nineteenth-century Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige. It's curated by contemporary artist Julian Opie, whose own work owes much to the perfectly realised, visual genius of Hiroshige and other Japanese masters. Opie is just one in a long list of Hiroshige's debtors that includes Van Gogh, Manet, Degas, Monet and Whistler, through to much comic and illustrational art, certain advertising techniques, some cinematographic and animation styles - and goodness knows what else. Most importantly for contemporary audiences, though, Hiroshige's prints are not only influential, but also fabulously pleasurable. A treat.
