  • Epoch Times - New ‘Flex-Seats' Aim to Change Air Travel Forever

Kevrone can apparently not see how this design would easily be modular. There are ways to alter the design, but purely the concept, and the presented proof of it, is encouraging, if only for a part of the airline market. But yes, this could be a step in the right direction.

I hope something like this is in place during my lifetime. I hate riding in coach because it is so uncomfortable but I can't usually afford business class.

    An interesting read.

Until the ridiculous and costly separation between "business" and "economy" is tackled I don't think there can be "epoch" changes. With the choices remaining extravagant/lucky luxury and just-make-it-through discomfort fancy designs do nothing. Airline culture is what has to change.

This is a great idea with so much room for improvement because of all the possibilities. :)

The text kind of glosses over it, but those nifty two-story seats with the little beds beside them are only for business class; i.e. this design might "change flying forever," but only for the people who already get free champagne and plenty of leg room. We poor plebeians get "every other seat raised a few inches."
