ByExample discovered 3 months ago- Plastics containing BPA are being pulled from the shelf. Manufacturers are responding to consumer concerns and studies that indicate that the hormone disrupter BPA leaches from certain plastics into food and drinks and may be a leading cause in breast cancer, prostate cancer, obesity, type 2 diabetes, miscarriages, hyperactivity and reproduction failures. I for one am going to play it safe. We already store our food in glass jars and we are switching from canned foods to dried goods. I will also be swallowing the expense of BPA free water jugs.
