From the page: "America you might think that we are about to have a fair and free election in 2008 but it isn't true. Not only might your vote not count but the "frontrunners" have already been decided for you. Why is anyone a "frontrunner" yet No one has voted. The only thing anyone leads in is money and airtime and neither money nor airtime should decide an election. The media which is controlled by a few men is deciding the agenda for the entire country and that by definition is un-American." ----------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- Well, hell, I've been saying this all along. I'm sick of it and so are a lot of other people, I hope. I've been bombarding them with letters. In the debate tonight, Chris Dodd made a good point about the media sticking their nose in the country's affairs. Senator Biden does all the time. The media is already bought.

This guy was just trying to be an asshole. He wanted attention and he got it. Lawl on him. When I first saw the vid, it freaked me out, but upon further reading, I find in my own court that this guy is just an ass who wanted attention, who knew the was on camera and took advantage. People like this take up air time from people who are truly being repressed. Go make a blog on youtube like every other asshole.

"I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." Thanks for the link, Kris!

Andrew Meyer was held down by four people and tasered because he got a bit obnoxious. "Incitement to riot" was the charge I heard the arresting officer declare when he asked for the hundredth time what he had done to deserve such brutality. This happened in Florida. Do you see the justice? A very noteworthy situation, burned into my brain. It was like watching lab technicians stick a needle into a monkey. Brought to you by: I squeam, you squeam, we all squeam. The IceQueen(057). It's possible that he is just a big-mouthed dope. It's even possible that I couldn't stand to be in the same room with the guy. And I might even want to tase him personally if he got that way around me. The thing is, the frightened masses put a thing like that in an appointed authority's hand and allow them use it on another human being. It was intended for dangerous people, not young students crying for help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NWukZhsiBw&mode=related&search= From the front, and the aftermath. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bVa6jn4rpE&eurl= The more famous clip, where he plainly begs not to be tasered. It's un-nerving to watch, but these are two angles by which you can assess for yourself whether or not this youngster was dangerous and warranting suppression. Look carefully. Those are not nightsticks. Those are ERECTIONS.

there is a weird power dynamic in that video ... it looks like Meyer is putting himself into a power struggle with the most powerful person in the room, Kerry ... & that's not the act of a powerless victim. Meyer is trying to put on a show with himself as the victim, but up until the tasering, he is in complete control of the situation. his behaviour puts me in mind of a two-year-old - too self-absorbed to really understand what's going on, but able to draw the attention of everyone in the room. guys like that annoy the hell out of me. they are expert at making everyone around them complicit in their little games. now the campus police are gonna take crap for doing their jobs, the other people in the auditorium are gonna be called apathetic for not putting themselves at risk for him, and it may go down as a mark against Kerry's record. just so some dork with an agenda can throw a tantrum. it belittles the struggle of people who really are subjected to police brutality/police state tactics. what would Jane Elliot have to say I wonder?

Website of the guy who was tasered for asking a question.
