I've got both dogs and cats and I really think the intelligence depends on the subject matter. String to cats is fun not food and the cats I've had are not as interested in food as my dogs are. So for the dogs the reward was of more interest than it was to the cats.

I think I read somewhere, that a wolf doesn't understand the relevance of pointing at something, but dogs do, naturally. (Ie. "Go pick that up") Is that because wolves are not as smart? I don't think so.

One test proves NOTHING and who cares who's smartest? AND, like humans, EVERY animal is different and has its own personality- you have to have owned a few pets for a long time to fully see this- I have never had a year in my life without a cat dog or bird (including chickens!)
