lalali rated 2 months ago- From the page: "50 best cult books" Interesting list

JCness rated 3 months ago- I have had the pleasure of reading 17 of these books over my years. Books have always been my favorite teachers. They just impart knowledge to you, they do not have to grade you on how well you have absorbed the information, or if you absorbed the "approved" knowledge in the material.

sylviacs rated 3 months ago- I've read a few of these.

daeriel rated 3 months ago- I'm not sure the list actually believes these are the "best" books, but it's a nice read. I particularly loved their bashing of The Fountainhead.

abitaamber rated 3 months ago- Good read.

DocBarleycorn rated 3 months ago- Read. Literacy is probably the most profound technology mankind has invented. I ain't here to lecture but a few of my favorites from this list are: Thus Spoke Zarathustra - A challenge to orthodox theology. And a good excuse to be an asshole. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Stick it to da man! The Fountainhead - Huge favorite of mine. Objective standards and egotism. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Here's a dude that didn't take himself too seriously. I approve. Chariots of the Gods: Was God An Astronaut? - Bad science but great speculation. The Catcher in the Rye - Great stuff to get the dander up. Just don't get creepy on us. Catch-22 - Being crazy isn't easy, but sometimes it helps. Slaughterhouse-Five - Dude is a FREAK. But it's a fun read.
