- Interesting take upon the 10 most likely ways humanity could end ... while certain topics were covered, such as: clinical depression sweeps human race, hostile extra-terrestrial alien invasion, collapse of the ecology through the Holocene mass extinction event, human created catastrophe such as a particle accelerator accident, biotech mishap such as a human created super-pathogen, the earth's poles reverse allowing cosmic particles and solar wind to bypass the earth's magnetosphere, a sufficiently large solar flare or other solar event, a naturally occurring super-pathogen, a rogue black hole or migrating star passes within the heliopause, a meteoroid or cometary impact ... what was missed were a lot of different items which should have been listed, if only in passing, and in no particular order: open nuclear war, grey goo nanites, hostile A.I. hard takeoff, nearby supernova or gamma ray burst, food chain collapse from extinction of bees and flowering plants, supervolcano, runaway global warming or clathrate gun hypothesis, oceanic overturn, cooling of the earth's core, ozone layer depletion, evolution into a new separate species, etc ... and that's just to name a few of the remote possibilities ...
