Erik Davis is one of my favourite authors/theorists on high tech information society, cyberculture, mysticism, spirituality and the many overlapping nexus points of all these fields. Blessed with an encyclopaedic mind, intelligent wit and humorous style of writing, he is an intellectual treat that no one should go without. Techgnosis is due for a revised edition soon, I should think, what with Web 2.0 and social networking evolving into what it is, I would love to read his take on it all. I have Techgnosis next to my bed, to dip into at my leisure, Modern Pagans and Zig Zag Zen (both collections of essays by different authors) also has two of his best articles I've read so far. And then there's his WIRED stuff as well...

A great stash of Erik Davis' essays and articles - delicious readings! There's a journal there now and a nifty new setup. Even more tasty!

Imaginative and insightful writing on media culture, futurism, esotericism and more. Author of the excellent Techgnosis: Myth, Magic and Mysticism in the Age of Information.

Greetings weary surfer. Welcome to a humble page of Figments and Inklings, penned -- or rather QWERTYed -- by Erik Davis. They are Figments because they are generally inbetwixt and inbetween -- not quite journalism, not quite cultural criticism, not quite
