I've used Mac, Dell, HP, compaq (which is now under hp), and toshiba for hardware and mac, windows, and various flavors of linux for OS's. I despise the use of "PC" to mean "Windows" or "non-mac hardware". They all have their strengths and weaknesses (except Toshiba. it has no strengths. They just blow up.). The commercial is BS. It's what happens when you look at vague terms like "umm I want it to like do stuff and like go online" instead of looking at the RAM, the Hard drive, the processor, etc. Macs are more expensive because they simply have better hardware when you look at the specs.

As the second comment on the site said, the PC cost is hidden in the details. The Mac build quality is just much better and you get what you pay for. I'm not a Mac fanboy, I just own both and prefer the Mac.
