    Just join the beta forum if you want to be on SU's Cutting Edge - it's hardly exclusive. SU keeps getting uglier and uglier, buggier and buggier, spammier and spammier. They're also getting rid of the features that made me love it. Since the facebook/myspace-esque friends changes, 99% of the people who try befriending me are spammers, and many of them are also pornographic. After ebay bought SU, at its very worst about 65% of those who tried befriending me were spammers, and they were rarely pornographic. Before ebay bought SU, the percentage of spammers who befriended me was Zero. Nice one. I'd appreciate suggestions and recommendations of social networking sites which 1. Are not overrun with spammers 2. Are not overrun with adverts 3. Are not overrun with testosterone-poisoned adolescents [Ed. Note: Tip of the keyboard to Yobaba] 4. Allow sharing websites with comments without involving email 5. Allow personal communication without involving email 6. Remove stalkers and abusers 7. Don't punish poor folks like me who have slow connections with long load times (45% of Yankistanis with internetS access don't have high-speed internetS service. This fact appears to be lost both on SU and my friends who keep sending me videos.) 8. Do what it says on their tins; i.e. They Work.
