KEO15 rated 3 weeks ago- The writer is using the lame excuse of "intellectualism" and science to stir up a debate about Noah's Ark. The first mistake is to manipulate scientific premises to define that which is beyond the physical (religion and faith).
I would love to join in this exchange but as a scientist I resent the fact that the author hasn't closely investigated other "myths" that have been passed on in writings, hieroglyphics, and folklore. Egyptians acknowledged the deeds of Moses and the Israelites, Jews and Romans recorded the Mightiness of Christ, etc. In all of these instances in human history none of these miracles have been associated with some form of physical, natural instigation to the fact. The simple reason is that God's work is in the spiritual realm. Man, science .. cannot define it because its beyond their understanding. God is a Spirit.
The author et al attribute creation to the flimsy "big bang theory" advancing physical theories to aid their weak understanding of the creation of the universe, hence the massive experiment in Geneva, Switzerland: the world awaits. The concept of bacteria to human (Darwinian theory) just isn't plausible any more even to scientist. The organisational complexities and differences between the species is beyond the scope of evolution. Hitherto, humans were believed to have evolved from apes and hence share marked genomic structure. This couldn't be farthest from the truth, humans differ from apes a great deal.
Of all this, questions remain to be asked: before the "big bang", what was? What force facilitated the big bang? how was the world before the big bang? What created the initial cells? Do you know?
pwnwner rated 8 weeks ago- People find the need to refute stories in the Bible because a lot of people believe in the Bible. Yes, the Bible's stories are absurd, but the absurd are still plausible. I find it sad that people need to publish web pages just to disprove these things.
"Pretty damn cool... It is still amazing that in this day and age that people still believe in this crap called religion... and what is even MORE amazing is that Americans will not elect a president unless they are religious.. for me I would rather have an atheist in the oval office so atleast I know its him making the decisions and not some invisible man..."
It is more ignorant to say that religion in general is impracticable just because there is a story that was disproved in a website. You know, there are other religions besides Christianity, such as Buddhism, which is an atheist religion(Godless).
Well, I am not here to discredit you and your beliefs, but just leave us theists alone. Also, I would prefer an invisible man as president since he is invisible and if you're naturally invisible, you must be powerful. Better a witty fool than a foolish wit.
amynewyork4248 rated 5 months ago- Even Christians have a hard time believing in Noah's Ark. Lay off.
MatthewQuinn rated 6 months ago- It is embarrassing to think that there are people out there that need to prove that Noah's ark is a myth to themselves or others. Besides, its not as if anyone who believes that there was a real Noah's ark will be convinced anyway. Hence--it's piling on heaps of data as a form of self-congratulation. Nevertheless, I suppose that its good that somebody had the time to waste on the project so that if any one does happen to care it can be found squirreled in some knothole of the Internet.
But did I need to stumble it? I would have much rather stumbled into some whimsical comic strip or s story about the world's largest burrito.

und1sk0 rated 8 months ago- The Bible is full of utter nonsense.

- Yes. People might say common sense needs no explanation. Nevertheless, I found this article quite interesting in its thoroughness and the amount of work taken into a real scientific, believable explanation of such "events".
