I hadn't heard of this one before! From the page: "Soviet KM Ekranoplan, known as the Caspian Sea Monster by US spies. Ekranoplans exploit wing in ground-effect and the Coanda effect to maintain a low altitude (a few metres) for efficient and fast transport over open water."
