I am the product of an interracial marriage, as are my children and all of my relatives and their children. I am a member of a religious faith that regards homosexuality as a crime against God and nature, and although I believe in God, my religion, and the laws of nature, sometimes I just want... more

Let me see Jesus fucked a hooker, realized he didn't like pussy and wanted to hang with 12 dudes. The guy you people worship the most was the biggest flamer in history. Water to wine, what hetero man wouldn't have made beer instead. That's all I'm saying. You bible thumpers worship a "fag".

How about you all just get your government out of my marriage? Take "marriage" out of the grimy hands of the government. Let anyone who wants one get a civil union. Period. Straight, gay, bi, whatever.

Mrmilty, you really think people can simply choose their sexual orientation? When I started becoming sexually aroused by women when I was very young. I didn't choose to, I was more interested in cartoons for Christ's sake. Oh, and russeljames, How are you fundamentalists still hanging on to procreation? There are 6.8 billion people on this planet... I may not believe in god, but if I did I would think that he created homosexuals to stop you idiots from overpopulating the planet! Who would CHOOSE to be disrespected by the masses and refused rights that should be given naturally to every person? I wouldn't be surprised if you guys end up having gay children, and I wish it upon all of you uneducated, narrow minded, righty tighty mongoloids. Sawchain, you're exactly who I was referring to when I was talking about those who overpopulate, and I thank you for supporting my statement with your insight :)

I am the product of an interracial marriage, as are my children and all of my relatives and their children. I am a member of a religious faith that regards homosexuality as a crime against God and nature, and although I believe in God, my religion, and the laws of nature, sometimes I just want to say "live and let live." I feel really sorry for people who have to deal with homosexuality. I think that for them it must feel at times like what it feels like to be mixed-race. You can't necessarily hide it, most people think you're strange because of it, just being it can scar you for life, it's something you have to "deal with" on a daily/hourly/moment-to-moment basis sometimes, people don't want you to have kids because of it (less so these days for multis) and ultimately it has to do with whom someone chose to share their sexuality with. It is different, don't get me wrong. I just really have a lot of heart toward people who carry this burden. (And I see it as a burden in most cases.) BossAfro: Homosexuality may be a mental illness; I'm actually willing to agree with you on that. But calling them "retards" is just making yourself look bad. Why would you insult people that way if you believe that they are ill? Would you call a person with bi-polar disorder a retard? How about a person with major depression and PTSD? What about a person with addiction or anxiety or dementia? That was ignorant, man. AND: The most hypocritical thing of ALL in this argument is what dynotoaqrimp brought up about the Christian politicians (Republicans) who say NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT to homosexual civil rights, but screw their boyfriends/lovers/absolute strangers, in bathrooms/public parks/airports/hotels and their Capitol Hill offices. They are the ones who should lose their right to marry because of the shabby disregard they have for the institution they seek to honor. freakin' hypocritical demons...

A too-facile and unhistorical argument. There are considerable differences between the two (starting with, say, the obvious element of procreation for one....).

Nice job trying to hitch your homo wagon to racism. Non sequitir, jackass. 2 * dick != dick + pussy

"This person compares the struggles of minority races for freedom from oppression with gays struggle for... marriage... Sounds like a reasonable comparison." Gays were not enslaved (in our society anyway) so their civil rights aren't as important?
