jenjen1352 discovered 2 months ago- Now this is just ridiculous. Edit: I now realise that this is not uncommon practice in America. Presumably they also have en suite bathrooms... I still think the whole duct tape idea is ridiculous - why not just handcuff them to their beds? How about an electronic tag each? Ball and chain, maybe?

cwgreen rated 2 months ago- From the page: "Michelle Mata told the Lake Local school board in Millbury that the tactic panicked her son during a recent weekend trip."
It's pathetic parents are so easily manipulated by their kids.- From the page: "Michelle Mata told the Lake Local school board in Millbury that the tactic panicked her son during a recent weekend trip."

aUser rated 2 months ago- I agree with Lynx, this isn't news and it's ridiculous.

Lynxdaemonskye rated 2 months ago- Why is this news? Teachers/chaperones do this all the time on trips. You just put a small piece of tape across the door frame, and when someone opens the door during the night, it's obvious because the tape isn't there anymore. It does not place anyone in danger.

- The only thing bizarre about this is that people are THAT stupid and litigation happy... I mean, 'OMG, one thin strip of tape is going to prevent me from opening my door, I'm going to sue!'... give me a break..

sargt000 rated 2 months ago- oh for fuck's sake. my friend is a teacher, and they employ this tactic too - do they tape the whole door shut? no, that would be retarded and the hotel would never allow it. one strip is all it takes, because there's no way for the tape to be stuck back down unless someone does it from the outside...and that means one poor bastard takes the blame when no one can reattach his/her tape. this same fucking parent would probably sue then if the kid fucked off out of the hotel and got drunk somewhere, saying teachers didn't do enough to keep him in his room. fuck i hate whiny parents. i could never be a teacher.
