salimma discovered 51 months ago- Bear with the author's English - his prolificity more than makes up for it. Lots of articles on deism and its relation with major establish religions

beastly-rich rated 8 weeks ago- I don't really understand the why of it but I quite like deism.

sYLVANIAbIZARRO rated 3 months ago- Pantheism isn't spiritual atheism. Don't write about misunderstanding deism if you're going to misrepresent other understandings in the process.

ruthellis rated 3 months ago- very topical, loaded with info., easy to read/understand

jadewood rated 24 months ago- I am not a Deist, but it is a belief that should be understood, I see they stick it undre philosophy 8^).

BigDaddyB rated 24 months ago- From the page: "The claim that America was founded on Christianity is a myth. Many of the Founding Fathers and Revolutionary War leaders were Deists, Unitarians, or liberal Christians and upheld a firm separation of church and state. The claims of the Religious Right that America is founded on the Christian religion is a political position devoid of fact."

From the page: "It should be noted that the term Freethinker does not mean atheism, but was hijacked by atheists in an attempt to dominate the discussion. Freethinker referred to those liberal theists and Deists that questioned the religious authority of clergy and holy books. Belief would be based on reason first and not claims of divine revelation, mystic visions, or alleged conversations with angels."

finestkind rated 29 months ago- Hmm.

Severian427 rated 29 months ago- although I'd rather call myself an agnostic (= there is no proof of the presence OR absence of God, hence the only honest answer is "i don't know, --let's not make our way of life based on something that nobody knows for sure") I find the deist approach much more preferable and healthy than the traditional religion approach.

Chensta rated 29 months ago- Although I don't believe in Deism, I do believe it is out of order to just bash other people's beliefs out of spite or simply because the beliefs don't match yours. That is something I find truly cowardly. I found this interesting, mainly as it is a subject I don't know anything about.

duconihilum rated 30 months ago- Believing in a god that doesn't exist is almost as bad as religion.
