andreanarchy rated 29 months ago - MY APPEAL:andreanarchy · Stumbling since: Nov 7, 2005 · CyprusI think it's illegal to own a credit card at sixteen. Please don't let my criminal record be encumbered at such a tender age. If you don't sponsor me, I might as well become emo and start my own Myspace.____________________...

Here is a list of people who need sponsorship"
Heggs rated 15 months ago- Has anyone here taken economics before? You see, there's this whole idea of "opportunity cost". When I spend money sponsoring someone who claims to be just too poor to get a Sponsor Account, that's money that could be spent on a worthy cause. Worthwhile charitable causes: environmental NGOs. Medical research. Microcredit loans. Helping the homeless. Sending underprivileged children to camp. Feeding the poor. Please note that nowhere on this list is me shelling out $20 so your sorry ass can get a fancy new stumbleupon icon.
flyingrose rated 15 months ago- Place where people can request or offer sponsorships. One reason someone might want to sponsor someone is because of the HUGE difference in currencies in many countries. The last time I asked, TWO U.S. Dollars would buy $96 worth of time from an IT company in India. At that rate, $20 U.S.D. would make the SU fee $960 for someone in India. (I hope I calculated that correctly - if not someone please send me the correction and I'll edit this.) That makes it pretty obvious why jobs are moving out of the U.S. to other countries, doesn't it?

- I don't know about you but that totally inspired me to make a $20 donation.. to The Hunger Site.
kalitime rated 20 months ago- My pleading from the page: "In lieu of sponsoring me, I'd prefer it if you went to your local Red Cross/Crescent or other charitable organization and donated your time, money, and if possible your blood product. Its not hard, I do Apheresis quite a bit and it helps others who need it a lot more than I need sponsoring.
If you're afraid of the needle, or are unable to donate, and cannot either donate your time to them or get others to give blood in your place, I have a wishlist. If you don't want to do that, then could you sponsor me?"
