 Spooktalker rated 13 months ago- Official site of miniature painting luminaries Mike and Ali McVey.
I've been a fan of Mike's work since I started painting miniatures in the early nineties. Mike headed Games Workshop's 'Eavy Metal studio for many years and I would pour over pics and tutorials in White Dwarf magazine. For many of us, Mike was THE authority on the subject of painting miniatures, and he continued to set the bar for many years. Later Mike moved on to work for Privateer Press, where he had an instrumental hand in many aspects of the company. He ran the miniatures studio, designed miniatures, and designed their P3 paint range.
Around this time, Ali McVey established her own style working as a studio painter for Privateer. Ali's figures are nothing short of incredible.
