"Excuse me while I adjust my bra and gloss my lips."?? No. Excuse ME whilst I barf. We don't have to (and I refuse to) trade in who we are as people to be "womanly". If I'd rather wear jeans than a dress, that's my prerogative. If I want to get a boob job, I'm damn well gonna, and I'd like to see this Stepford-wife wannabe try to fuckin' stop me. No smarmy-ass website is going to tell me how to be a woman. I am not defined by my sex, and all the cutsie-pie puns in the world won't make me hate this site any less.

From the page:
"7. Be yourself, not your title. Too often women identify themselves solely as mother, wife, or in terms of an occupational job title. This is a mistake. By tightly coupling oneself to a socially constructed title itâ€s easy to forget who you really are. What happens to oneâ€s worth when a marriage ends and the title of â€oewife” must be legally surrendered? Who suffers when a career ends and a women ceases to be manager, director, or an employee? What happens to oneâ€s internal self when these titles are relinquished? By not identifying with and tying ourselves to a title it becomes easier to see our true selves. Without these titles, who are you really today?"

While I think that most of the advice in this article is wonderful, the tone of it comes off as being a bit too preachy to me. Instead of the article reading as suggestions women can use to be who they are (woman speaking), the article reads as things you should or ought to do to be a woman. And so that turns me off of this article a bit. :(.

If you are a woman-read this article. Or anyone, really. No, it is not about boobs despite the picture.
