- Charles Haddon Spurgeon
Sermons that are part of our on-line collection are hotlinked to the index pages. Many of the sermons have not been posted and are therefore not available. It is our long-range goal to post the full e-texts of all sermons, but the process will take several years. Our collection has grown steadily since 1995 and could be complete as early as 2007. Meanwhile, a complete set of Spurgeon's sermons is available in e-text format from Ages Software. We recommend Pilgrim Publications, where the Ages disk may be purchased at a discount.
If anyone would objectively read Spurgeons sermons they would greatly benefit and would learn a lot of theology and enhance their knowledge of God and His Holy Word.

- Spurgeon's works are available free and that is good. However I totally disagree with much of what he said in the area of gospel preaching, and the law. I view him as a legalist. The confession of faith, the only one, that stands for the gospel and rebukes Spurgeon and the Protestants is the 1646 First London Baptist Confession. This confession states that the terrors of the law are not necessary to establish a preparation for receiving the gospel. Indeed, the First London folks taught that the gospel is the power of God, not the law. I concur, teaching that the gospel is the Sword of the Spirit, not the Law of Moses! See http://www.newcovenanttheology.com/1646confession.html, http://www.newcovenanttheology.com/covenant.html and http://www.newcovenanttheology.com/spurgeon.html
