    psykke: Not everyone gets to chose who runs their government or how it's run. Just because the US gets to vote doesn't mean that all countries are like that. Also, even if the majority of a nation votes for a certain leader, there are still millions out there that voted for a DIFFERENT person. Not to mention the fact that we have a limited choice between corrupt politicians. There's no way that any government will ever be perfect and it's impossible to make everyone happy all at once. A bad government doesn't mean bad people. Just because you originate from a certain region of the world doesn't always mean that you are a bad (or good) person. You have to look at someone as their own person, not at their country or government to know who they are. Some people are just too narrow minded to see that.

    Unfortunately that is not true. Government can only be as bad as the people who choose it.

    My philosophy has always been to relate to people as individuals, not by where they come from, what their government stands for or anything else.
