  • Welcome to SoHo Blues - Photography by Allan Tannenbaum - The Hidden Victims of 9/11

Chilling ... "They've left us in the dust because it's about money. Had they given us treatment from the get-go, a great majority of people would not be dying a painful, painful slow death. We're walking time-bombs - our time is limited. And 9/11 and the exposure to toxins and... more

From the page: "On September 11, 2001, Arab Islamist terrorists hijacked airplanes and crashed them into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, causing the buildings to collapse. Although almost 3,000 people died on that terrible day, many first responders, recovery workers, and area residents have been getting very sick and even dying because of all of the toxic substances released into the environment. Sadly, quite a few of those once hailed as heroes are finding that government agencies are now ignoring them. They are the hidden victims of 9/11 and this is their story."

This doesn't say good things about our Gov and how it treats our heroes. So how's it gonna work if you're not a hero? These guys deserve a lot better.

I was reading the police reports from officers that responded that day, its hard to imagine that after surviving the trauma, some buried in rubble with dead people all around them in the dark, them finding they are alive and in one piece and somehow getting out of it safely only to find out the event will still be the cause of their death. sad...very sad.

I was there helping with the cleanup of 9/11 in NY and VA, and I have never seen a time when more people opened up their hearts and homes to help each other...Being around such people changed me, my view on life, for the better. I feel for all those who died in and after the disasters, and for all those who are becoming sicker by the day, simply for lending a hand. - Boydie
