Normally when you read "Ten thing's you don't know about" whatever, you already know half of them. Not the case here, with ten truly interesting facts.

EDIT: Here's the list of source citations that got removed when it was published. 1. "Unheard Witness" by Ernst Hanfstaengl (J.B. Lippincott, 1957) 2.The draft dodging, return to Austria, and failing the physical are well documented in numerous biographies, most notably "Hitler's Letters and Notes" by Werner Maser (William Heinemann, 1974) 3. USA Office of Strategic Services Source Book, and "The Buker: The History of the Reich Chancellery Group" by James P. O'Donnel (Boston:Houghton Mifflin Co, 1978) 4."The Psychology of Dictatorship" by G.M. Gilbert (Ronald Press, 1950); "Inside the Third Reich" by Albert Speer (New York: The MacMillan Co, 1970) 5."Unheard Witness" by Ernst Hanfstaengl (J.B. Lippincott, 1957); "Inside the Third Reich" by Albert Speer (New York: The MacMillan Co, 1970) 6. "The Psychopathic God" by Robert G.L. Waite (New York:Basic Books, Inc 1977); "This Is the Enemy" by Frederick Oechsner (Boston: Little, Brown and Co, 1942) 7. "The Psychopathic God" by Robert G.L. Waite (New York:Basic Books, Inc 1977); "Inside the Third Reich" by Albert Speer (New York: The MacMillan Co, 1970); "Unheard Witness" by Ernst Hanfstaengl (J.B. Lippincott, 1957) 8. USA Office of Strategic Services Source Book; "The Inner Circle: Memoirs" by Ivone Kirkpatrick (Macmillan, 1959); "Unheard Witness" by Ernst Hanfstaengl (J.B. Lippincott, 1957) 9. The picture is evidence on it's own, and Hitler serving as a dispatch runner in the German Army (he dodged the draft and failed a physical for consription in the Austrian Army, but voluntarily enlisted in the German Army because he considered Austria a "mongrel nation") is noted in "Der Fuehrer: Hitler's Rise to Power" by Konrad Heiden (Boston: Houghton Mifflin Co, 1944) 10. "Adolf Hitler" by John Toland (Doubleday, 1976) Sorry about that.

How could I make this up.............? His Nazi Rallies were Inspired by Harvard Cheerleaders: Hitler's good friend, Ernst Hanfstaengl, had been sent to study at Harvard by his parents. When he returned, he described the cheerleaders to Adolf, who became obsessed with the idea of stirring blind enthusiasm in this way. "'Rah, rah, rah' became "Sig Heil, Heil Hitler," Hanfstaengl recalled later. "That is the origin of it, and I suppose I must take my part of the blame."

whoa. He was a prankster? Hmm. Also, what a fag? I mean his rally cries were inspired by cheerleaders?

Most of these are unlikely. The page is poorly written also.

Lol @ Hitler. I knew a few of them, but I didn't know the real reason why. Loved the one about him becoming a Vegetarian, and his Pranks.

wow, some people are so assuredly emphatic about calling BS on this site, and they are pretty much all wrong, some of them WAY off! most of this stuff is common knowledge to those interested in the history of WWII or general random wierd factoids. while it is good to be skeptical about wild claims you find on the internets, look them up for yourself instead of just crying BS! he was what he was; most of these statements are quite well established. as for his army record, this has been pointed out several times already, but people obviously are still not getting it: he avoided the AUSTRIAN draft for years before being caught and rejected, just as stated in the blog. he then LATER enthusiastically finagled his way into the GERMAN army once Germany joined WWI, as he was not even a German citizen yet. why? i don't know, he was a wierdo, but that is what he did. he did quite well in the German army, being decorated several times as well as wounded. he also often avoided meat for much of his life, and after the suicide of Geli Raubal in 1931 became a very outspoken vegetarian, though he did occasionally eat meat after this. and his dog was definately called Blondi... maybe he had other dogs, but Blondi was the one he was nuts about, and had put to sleep just before suiciding with his mistress/brand new wife at the end. the sources are cited here as well as in the comments for the blog, and you can also read up on him on Wikipedia, and there are of course countless books about Hitler.
