BEST KOOL-AID YARN-DYEING TUTORIAL I'VE EVER SEEN and I've seen prolly twenty; many good,clear photos;from the "2nd Effort" link:: "if you favor reds and pinks, then Kool-Aid provides a plethora of options. If your tastes skew towards more subtle, sophisticated palettes, then Kool-Aid dyeing will not be applealing to you. I think for simple sock yarn, its a great way to mimick more expensive handpainted yarns like Koigu KPPM and create one-of-a-kind socks. For a larger knitting project like a sweater, I think it would be too cumbersome to try to dye an enormous quantity in the kithen microwave. Not to mention that Kool-Aid dyeing leaves a lingering fruity stank everytime I use my microwave now." uses for those glass jars of many sizes!
