I knew, a long time ago, that I was never going to be Gisele (sic) Or Cindy, Naomi, Elle or Heidi, for that matter. So, I started looking for role models of a certain age. There were slim pickings. Farrah? Nope. Goldie? No way. Writers such as Susan Sontag have now passed on to literary heaven and stylish Simone de Beauvoir has long been in the existential cafe in the sky. I wanted living icons who could light my way into being a mature woman, older and wiser ones who could show me how beauty and age and talent can co-exist, without Botox becoming your prime recreational pastime.

- I don't really care about which actress wears what, but this is a great little piece of writing nonetheless. Wow, I'm actually starting to look forward to having wrinkles after reading this. Well done.
