This picture was snapped during President Reagan's trip to the Soviet Union in 1988. What makes this picture extraordinary is that the man with the camera around his neck is current Russian Prime Minister and all around evil scumbag, Vladimir Putin pretending to be a tourist at a time when we know he was a KGB agent. Looks like he was keeping tabs on Ron the whole time.

It really doesn't look like Putin. However, without the Russians, the world would be really boring.

It doesn't matter to me if the caption is right or wrong, I like the shot of Reagan. What they don't tell you is a second later he pulled his hand back saying, "Psych."

From other sources that I recall--but can not locate at this time, I believe this is Putin. But from what I have read on this in the past Reagan and the Secret Service were very aware of their presence. My understanding is that prior to this photo the KGB had already met with the Secret Service to discuss Reagan visit. Either way--they surely knew that the KGB was going to be following them everywhere they were. It is only to be expected that when the leader of a nation is in another country that they are going to be watched very closely.
