Lengthy articles attempting to defend Christianity. Much like other apologists such as C.S. Lewis, most of what I have read falls apart about half way through. Sweeping use of one problem area to cover another. Many arguments state a premise, and then conclude with a statement which is... more

"skeptic noun 1 a person inclined to question OR doubt all accepted opinions." (emphasis on "OR" is mine) A Christian who asks "Why do we believe this?" is a Christian skeptic. I'd put myself in that category.

Skeptical Christian is not skeptical. Or, if you want to be nitpicky about it, s/he leaves numerous points unexamined and makes rather glaring mistakes in many arguments. The easy thing to do at this point would be to conclude, oh, that's just how them religious folks are. But I think it's something different; the site's actually a valuable comment on how many people who claim to be "skeptical", theists and atheists alike, are anything but when it comes to certain deeply held, culturally reinforced beliefs. Don't hate on this person; s/he and you (and me, definitely) are probably more alike than we'd care to admit.

despite the numerous reviews on the 'sceptical christian' i found that that this site is very well designed, contains many well written articles, and more importantly, shows the world that atheism is NOT the only answer. Thumbs up in my humble opinion.

Freaking hilarious satire, here. "Xtian Skeptic" is an oxymoron.

I am skeptical of "The Skeptical Christian". For example, an advertisement on the site reads, "Make poverty history." That's like, "Make the broken world unbroken." Although poverty ought to prompt works of charity, we should not be tempted into thinking that poverty (or any other reflection of the deep brokenness of the universe) could ever be eradicated by us. Nevertheless, the site seems to contain some interesting material.

Their atheism section was good for a chuckle. Skepticism and religion don't mix well.

One of the 'better' apologetic sites. Many of his arguments appear inconclusive. Is not afraid to say when an atheist conclusion appears to be the more rational conclusion. I guess God-believers are rational people too :)
