I just saw this movie today at a friend's house. I must be out of the loop because I had never even heard of it. I do love it. Great characters, and yeah, the sex is hot!

The second film by John Cameron Mitchell -- who wrote, directed, and starred in my favorite film ever "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" -- just made it to dvd. Probably you will not find "Shortbus" at your local video store but, if you can find it, I highly recommend this film, which has been called "Unquestionably the most sexually graphic...." No, the film is not porn. However, it concerns sexuality and contains sex, lots of it, some straight and some gay, so consider yourself warned.

This is the only film I would ever describe as 'lovely' without wanting to punch myself in the face.

This is a truly fantastic film. Because of its sexual content, it is not widely distributed, so you may have to wait for the DVD.

The New controversial film by John Cameron Mitchell. Hype has it that all the sexual scenes are real. In an email exchange, taken from OUT magazine, the director wrote:"The guys were a lot more comfortable than the girls with the sexualrehearsals [simulating intercourse]. One actress suggested thateveryone in the room be nude, including me, my assistant, and thecameraperson. It worked. After the initial shock, everybody relaxed. But nudity is not sex. At first the guys were all "No prob," but oncewe got on set, the women were Zen and the guys were like, "Where's theViagra?" Once the actors took their pills way too early. Later we hadto digitally remove the red from their faces."I will probably have to wait for this one to come out on DVD...being that I live in MS, the Bible Belt.... lol
