ericbrokenheart rated 4 months ago- this is a great site where you can upload and share vintage photographs. this is a very unique idea to have this kind of a site

lgasperec rated 5 months ago- I often read while waiting for public transportation as well.

ArmyChief rated 9 months ago- Visitors haven't been allowed in Liberty's torch for at least a generation or two; that said, this image from 1908 clearly shows the view downward onto the top of the statue, looking all the way down to the pedestal. By then, Miss Liberty was already 22 years old -- and the airplane was still very much a fledging, experimental machine with an uncertain future.

emelc rated 10 months ago- Children picket at a waiters strike at the Raleigh Hotel in Washington, D.C. From the National Photo Company collection, between 1918 and 1920

eye4neye rated 12 months ago- This site has some really cool old photos!

macpg rated 14 months ago- US Civil War: Lewis Payne, seated and manacled, at the Washington Navy Yard about the time of his 21st birthday in April 1865, three months before he was hanged as one of the Lincoln assassination conspirators. Photograph by Alexander Gardner, probably taken aboard the ironclad U.S.S. Montauk or Saugus.
