When an ISP set up in my town I cancelled my AOL account immediately, but it took me FOUR DAYS to do it! That was 1992. It's AOL policy to screw their customers over right to the end. The guy was acting on orders, but he got fired. Nice, nice touch AOL.

- I can so relate to this. I had a similar incendent when I cancelled AO-Hell 5 years ago. They actually wanted me to pay them $23 on top of the $40 I was paying for Road Runner to keep their services. I made the mistake of calling from work; good thing I had a very understanding employer.

- Just a thought.......the AOL guy knew that AOL would be recording his conversation. Every call-centre monitors the lines. Any chance that this fellow was following AOL's guide lines? Any chance that AOL will use the call as an example of heroinc endevour when training their operatives? Just a thought.
