This is why sensible people stay away from shady companies run by older people, like Netflix and Microsoft, and just pirate.

The only end result of DRM is more piracy. Why should I pay for one product just to have another product (which I paid for) de-authorize the first? I had this problem years back with early protection of music that only let you burn to CD 3 times. I had a faulty writer, used up the 3, bought a new writer and couldn't burn the CD due to the DRM. So I hopped on to Kazaa and downloaded an MP3 of it. I never used the service again, but I sure downloaded other MP3's from Kazaa. Now I only download DRM free stuff, infact I mostly download indi music which I don't even have to pay for. I wonder how many consumers the industry has lost due to treating them like criminals. You can't compete with FREE music and videos with inferior product and lies. Let do of DRM, save the money and charge your customers less -- most people would rather buy a legitimate copy then an illegal free copy of a movie or music if the product is the same or better and the price is reasonable.
