My name is Loren Baker and I'm a link builder. I admit it, I'm a link building SEO and I've been building links for clients for 10 years. I'm also the owner and editor of Search Engine Journal and I've decided to be a bit more transparent about my link building philosophy.

My name is Loren Baker and I\'m a link builder. I\'ve been a contracted link builder for years and if you use some of the massive SEO firms in the US, I\'ve probably worked on your link building. Now I\'m going to expose the techniques I\'ve developed and share them with SEJ readers. Why? Two reasons really. One to be open about techniques because a lot of marketers are keeping their ideas hidden. Two, because I want to build links for your company, so hire me directly to do so :)

6 link building tips. I've read from several places (including here) that you should ignore no-follow tags. This post has another good point - catch up and coming bloggers before they get big. You might get links that are free today but worth a few hundred in a year or so.

The last tip's a real gem - catch the fledgling sites before their PageRank improves!
