webcomic rated 4 months ago- McCloud = guru but not Highlander! Okay maybe Highlander...

Luotaaja rated 8 months ago- Scott McCloud is my personal Demigod of Comics and Sequential Art. After reading 'Understanding Comics' and 'Making Comics' the way I look at comics was changed somewhat totally. I love this man, his works, his visions, his enthusiasm. Praise Scott! Well, maybe I'm overreacting a bit. But I still love his work.

- I expected more, from the way he talked himself up. Raging egomania with not enough talent to back it up. Actually, he kind of reminds me of myself, except that I don't have a web site dedicated to showing off how great I am. I guess I should.

darkspoon rated 10 months ago- Pay attention, o authors of stickman comics. This is some good stuff.

brycec3 rated 11 months ago- huge ego, huge crap. lets draw crap comics backwards and call it an innovative, boundary pushing form of art. lets take a look at one example: http://www.scottmccloud.com/comics/carl/3a/52.html this is the final version of the comic. the first one was just the first panel and the last panel. then he RANDOMLY ADDED THE MIDDLE ONES FOR 50some DAYS! sadly, they never got any better. was it a heart stopping, groundbreaking story? no. funny? no. interesting? not even a little. it did, however, make me want to die. thank you, scott, but i'll just stick with 'conventional' comics that actually have a point. or, you know, are at least good. go ahead and continue massaging your "super-genius inventor artist" ego with every crap page you put up.

JimmyConstantine rated 12 months ago- Some great stuff. And pushing the limits with what can be done with online comics.

mrcclass rated 17 months ago- Some years ago, when I was arguing for the inclusion of a section of curriculum on media literacy, I used one of McCloud's books as an example of the detailed visual codes and conventions embedded in comics in particular, but graphic art in general. There is much to look at in this site, including some online comic/art. Missing from the site is some of the incredible analysis he does in his books; guess you'll have to get it the old-fashioned way.

Makrelljinta rated 19 months ago- yayy

donmulder rated 23 months ago- Understanding comics guy

hackenbacker rated 31 months ago- Scott McCloud, a cartoonist who likes to explain things in his comics.
