Check these out - It doesn't pay to be too neurotic though

From the page: "1. Alien hand syndrome (Dr. Strangelove syndrome) Alien hand syndrome is a neurological disorder in which one of the sufferer's hands seems to take on a life of its own. Sometimes the sufferer will not be aware of what the hand is doing until it is brought to his or her attention. Alien hands can perform complex acts such as undoing buttons or removing clothing"

Hmm. Um, mom? Read number 10. Yeah, like, right now. See? I told you you weren't sick! I told you! But...I thought that was considered hypochondria? Or...wait, no, that's the belief that you are ill when you're not. Either way, MOM, READ THIS! (ha, it's funny, because she won't)

10 Most Interesting, Strangest Mental Disorders
"Brain Psychiatrics is one of the most difficult and unexplored spheres of medicine. A psychiatrist can never know for sure what is in his patient's mind."
Regarding above excerpt, Captain Obvious says, "Well, duh." If we could read minds we'd probably all run far, far away from each other, and shrinks would starve to death because they'd have no "profession." At least I don't have Alien Hand Syndrome (listed on page), although I feel I've had plenty of dates that secretly must've had it. And frankly, I've seen enough "psychiatrists" to know that most of THEM are more out of their gourd than their patients (birds of a feather, blah blah). NOTE TO THE EASILY OFFENDED: SKIP THE REST OF THIS POST Anyway, I'm dedicating this post to my friend, with whom I had a most bizarre and hilarious discussion yesterday, mostly about how sucky we felt. We discussed at length the ramifications of various types of offbeat suicide vs the mess factor (electric hand drill to the temple: would some of our brains ooze out? or to the jugular: blood is totally gross! etc.) and decided regardless of method, it should optimally be done "indoors and preferably contained within a Hefty bag for sanitation purposes." After exploring such pithy subject matter and giggling like idiots at our absurdity, we decided we're going to run away to a remote island where we can cuss and fart (ok, she didn't say "fart" but it wouldn't be truly "free" there if we couldn't fart) and cause mayhem all we want. As a disclaimer, few rational people think suicide is funny (in reality, I don't find it funny at all); but sometimes humor is the only coping mechanism we know (trust me, drugs only help so much). So for anyone who is offended, I TOLD YOU NOT TO READ THIS SECTION. If you want rainbows and glitter graphics, you're definitely at the wrong place.
(Hours later after initial post): This just in!! Major LOL "spew moment"! She just sent me the below images in regard to yesterday's conversation (do I have some freaky friends, or what? I actually snorted out loud when I saw this in my Inbox, and I had soda in my mouth. Sheesh! Hilarious! LOL): Then, lastly:

This is reminiscent of Oliver's Sack's books, particularly, "The Man Who Thought His Wife Was A Hat". Note: Alien hands can also slap unruly in-laws and rob the collection plate at church!

Ok, but the 11th one should be phobiophobia. I mean, being afraid of being afraid would've fit in right its way, if such a thing exists. Thanks to Blackmore16.

Ok if you had to pick one for yourself, which would it be?

From the page: "7. Exploding head syndrome It causes the sufferer to occasionally experience a tremendously loud noise as if from within his or her own head, usually described as an explosion or a roar. This usually occurs within an hour or two of falling asleep, but is not the result of a dream." Okay, that sounds kind of scary. Thanks janataylor.
