genisis2 rated 7 months ago- From the page: "Simply Beautiful" These words are those most often used to describe the work of Roi James. His paintings of transcendent landscapes, mystical figure portraits, and meditative abstracts all acknowledge James to be a painter who is continually exploring and refining his technique. The diversity of his styles and the fluency in which he paints reveal that innate ability often described as a gift, but which is truly the result of a deep conviction and dedication towards his creative expression. Joy Song 2006, Oil on Canvas, 45" x 45" Migration 3 2007, oil on panel, 24" x 36" Morning Light 2006, Oil on Canvas, 30" x 50"

Not everything is rotten in the state of Texas -- far from it.
Actually I liked the place a lot on my visit there a few years ago,
and vigorously defend it to those who make snap judgements.
To those who don't know, Texas is the home of some great musos, beautiful birds,
live oak trees, live Stumblers even . . . and artists like this:
Roi James
Beautiful art, seen on the pages of my friend Libero
