Some rocks balance all on their own... ...but some need a little help. I must try this, next time I am in the vicinity of some rocks.

I've seen rock balancing done before. This past summer I had access to seashore full of rocks and I gave it a go. It was not only fun, but I also found it very relaxing. Honestly, anyone can do it. All you need are rocks, patience, and have the ability to get out of the way FAST, when you add the wrong rock to the pile.
