Cheap and lazy... that is me, at least when it comes to lawn care. (Otherwise I am generally expensive and lazy). I've got a better idea for cheap, lazy, environmentally friendly lawn care......FUCK YOUR LAWN and let it go wild like it bloody well should be. I wish I could line up every asshole on the planet who bitches about their neighbor with the "non-conforming" lawn and kick them all squarely in the fucking nuts. Lawns are everything that is evil and wrong about our fucking society. Think about it!

My grandparents are cheap, ahem, frugal, but definitely not lazy- however, they occupy their time gardening and tending to the woods surrounding the house and pretty much ignore the small area of the property that is grass- that grass, however, has practically always been absolutely beautiful- tall, thick, green, I go walk barefoot through it whenever I'm there- definitely infrequently watered, and this state was in a drought for years. Hmmmm... I've seen this method, it works. (And I'm a freak, I like mowing the lawn/edging/weeding/planting, I miss living in a house with a yard)

We have a terrible lawn, and when spring comes I'm going to implement some of these solutions if I can afford it.
