I enjoy this site and all things about religion. I am a spiritual person but I find that people don't question the tenements of Christianity much, but listen to their pastors and accept it as 'gospel' when they should be studying the scriptures themselves. As a Christian who studies the scriptures, as well as early Christian writers, I find that todays Christianity is far removed from the 1st and 2nd century beliefs. Roger Williams, the founder of Rhode Island and a pastor to many made a statement at the end of his career saying that the church that Christ established was not on the earth. I find his statement not only interesting and revealing but gives me reason to find out what he meant. In his day he was a stalwart who moved to Rhode Island because he was expelled from Massachusetts due to differences in beliefs.

Religion Online contains thoughtful articles and a few out of print books. It does not waste valuable space on photographic fluff but concentrates on insight reflection and sound reasoning.

Looks like a helpful resource for those seeking religious information. But remember, in the end Christianity is not about a religion or about knowledge, it is about a relationship with the living God. It is awesome and humbling at the same time.

Nice resource for religious texts - I was happy to find several of Reinhold Neibuhr's books in their entirety here :)

Still researching some religious statistics. Can you tell?
