As much as I love the register the article isn\'t being technically correct. The ps3\'s aren\'t running anything like a regular version of linux, but what he has heavily modified to run on the ps3 architecture. Its cheaper to buy 16 ps3s just for the cell architecture: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/02/01/cell_analysis_part_one/
