- Amazing picture...but I'm not convinced that a picture like this is possible

- I wonder how many of those are energy efficient bulbs.

eudora rated 9 days ago- This photo from NASA is unique ,i think so...

artistrybysandy rated 3 months ago- Have the stars overhead as the ONLY light source at night, I feel that's the 'natural' way to live and take care of our Planet.

sridivya rated 3 months ago- amazing!

trobster rated 3 months ago- Thank you for tagging this image, kurabi! I think this picture "is worth a thousand words" because it shows where people and energy are concentrated on the planet. However, it is NOT a single photograph, but an artificially created composite map combining dozens of satellite images taken on different days. This map of lights looks like it was derived from a 2002 photograph available here: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0208/earthlights02_dmsp_big.jpg

hotelesquire rated 4 months ago- I can see my house from way up here!!

Paulla rated 4 months ago- Amazing picture - interesting how the populations of the world are distributed.
