They did not account for Windows tax. It is downright easy to build a great PC cheaply without it, but most people would not use it. And pirating software with free substitutes is just pathetic.

Not ultimate. I picked up a $300 dell from their outlet, 2gb of ram for $10, a 500w PSU on sale for $20 (instead of 80), and a HD4870 for about $200. Hell, even an HD4850 will outperform a 9800GT any day, for about the same price.
