thesunshotme rated 4 weeks ago- I have nothing against good vocabulary. Good vocabulary refines your speech and helps communicate more specific ideas, but seriously, some of the words sound awkward in every day speech. No one wants to sound like a pseudo-intellectual asshole who has to "impress" their friends. especially when the words are used incorrectly :P

janiscudilla rated 6 weeks ago- wow. i must have weird friends. most of us use some of these words in our everyday conversation=))

- Some of these are in common usage, therefore not impressive. The rest are just stupid.

Guiyas rated 7 weeks ago- Really, I'm happy to know about some of these words but the implication that I might want to use some of them anywhere is almost as ridiculous as the example sentences given. If someone said that about a zeitgeist, for example, I'd roll my eyes and move on. If someone called me a Luddite I'd thank God that I hadn't used the word before hearing someone else use it, because I'd have sounded like an obfuscating moron who took a puerile pleasure in appearing to be an elitist maven. And for crying out loud, if you're going to use annoyingly esoteric words then at least check your bloody grammar; "She's trying to hard to be lascivious". TOO hard. She's trying TOO hard.

jjooeh rated 7 weeks ago- If you plan to use these words in a conversation I suggest you weaken the elastic in your underwear beforehand. Of course if you were the type of person who would use them, then you probably weaken the elastic as soon as you buy new underwear as a matter of course.
