- Words are cool. I wouldn't drop too many obscure words into a single piece, though. It's good to include a few, but don't force the reader to read. A well written piece should flow off the page without a lot of effort. However, the average reader's vocabulary is getting pretty small. I do think it's good to include a few challenge words. If the reader isn't lazy, they may just look them up and expand their vocabulary.
