DID YOU KNOW? The Bush administration's attempts to provoke war with Iran may be escalating. Andrew Cockburn reports that Mr. Bush has signed a secret â€oefinding” authorizing a covert offensive against the Iranian regime that may include assassinating targeted officials, aiding militant groups hostile to Iran, and destabilizing Syria. Members of the Congressional intelligence committees reportedly approved $300,000,000 to fund such actions. www.counterpunch.org (May 2, 2008).

An IMPORTANT interview with former United Nations weapons inspector Scott Ritter about the Bush Administration bombing Iran before Bush leaves office. from the page: "...the Bush Administration continues to live under the illusion that it can limit this conflict"

From the page: "Nancy Pelosi, the erstwhile leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives, stated that she opposed this legislation because she did not want to tie the Presidentâ€s hands when it came to securing the national security interests ofâ€"and now we can have a drum rollâ€"Israel."

I doubt Iran will "suck it up". Very disappointed in Pelosi.

Ritter was right before, so a Bush attack on Iran is very likely...
Bad idea? Yes...but it wouldn't be the first...

Attacking Iran would be a monumentally stupid thing for the Bush administration to do. Of course, that's not saying much.

From the page: "Q: For several years now, youâ€ve been warning of the possibility that the Bush Administration will attack Iran. What do you think the likelihood is now in the waning months of the Bush Administration? Scott Ritter: I think weâ€ve never been at a greater risk of American military action against Iran."
