kalah discovered 10 months ago- This is so true. One of America's greatest social problems is that we are all treated as if we're stupid-- the government, the schools, television, and the media especially, set their standards based on the lowest common denominator when they should be raising the bar. The Daily Show expects its viewers to think critically, ask questions, and pay attention to what is going in the world. It's how they have managed to garner so many accolades. It's why they've earned such a loyal following, and the ratings that prove it. If only the others would follow suit, we'd all be better off. And I would not have to watch another commerical promoting "Trading Spouses" (or other such shit) ever again.
