now this is a really cool idea, kind of like minority report and now you won't have to worry about a big fat finger getting in your display's way. Pair in some iPhone esque tilt sensors and give the device some control over the screen transparency and you'll have a pretty solid gadget.

Could be useful for an extremely compact mobile phone or similar device, but I don't think we can teach people to type from another side of the keyboard that easily.

i have seen one of these before... in my dreams. i think it has the propensity to replace hand-held devices and laptops. just imagine, a classroom of students without notebooks. compared to a laptop, this is way much lighter and does not require a table top or a lap. i hope i don't have to wait ten years for this dream.
