Wow, yes this sums it up. Pixar seems to be the only reason we ever get original stories in movies anymore. Animated or not, no one else makes movies based on original ideas anymore. They're all based on books (which is ok, to a point) or remakes.

Some Dreamworks animations aren't too bad, but none of them quite have that spark that Pixar does.
