Tutu..is the voice of reason in a religion, that includes, like many others, a few members who are beset with bigotry and hate... One of the comments on this page reminds me why I tend towards cynicism in these matters... Anyhoo...Back to gardening...Eh?

With all the problems the Anglican Communion is having lately this will not help them. Tutu knows that his comments will be highly destructive to the union and that is his intent. In other words, it is not an attempt to council the homophobic or heal the homosexual. It is not directed by the Holy Spirit only Desmond's desire to play politics.

From the page: "I can't imagine anyone in their right mind choosing a way of life that exposes them to so much hatred..." Finally, someone who understands!

A rare voice of sanity and compassion in this world.

From the page: " Archbishop Desmond Tutu has condemned the arguments over homosexuality that threaten to split the Anglican Church, saying that â€oeGod is weeping” over the arguments."
