Tutu..is the voice of reason in a religion, that includes, like many others, a few members who are beset with bigotry and hate... One of the comments on this page reminds me why I tend towards cynicism in these matters... Anyhoo...Back to gardening...Eh?

With all the problems the Anglican Communion is having lately this will not help them. Tutu knows that his comments will be highly destructive to the union and that is his intent. In other words, it is not an attempt to council the homophobic or heal the homosexual. It is not directed by the Holy Spirit only Desmond's desire to play politics.
